And then, he gave her the ocean;
Because she didn’t want the moon.
“Either you decide to stay in the shallow end of the pool or you go out in the ocean.” 🌊 -Christopher Reeve (at Vlichada Beach, Santorini)
They never tell you the important things. They never tell you that somedays it’s alright to throw your hands up and give up. It’s okay to not always be friendly and nice and approachable to everyone else. There is nothing wrong with crying yourself home at the end of the day. Mascara when applied carefully in the morning becomes a battle scar in the evening when it’s cried away.
Sometimes it’s hard and it takes everything you have to hang on to something that you don’t even know what you’ve been clinging to. If you want to let go, there is no reason you shouldn’t let go. It’s not losing if it’s on your terms if it doesn’t go the way you anticipated it to.
They tell you that love overcomes all and the good things don’t come easily. They may be right, who knows, but never let them tell you that anyone but you can dictate the terms.
When the mascara wounds have scabbed over and it doesn’t feel like your world is ending, it’ll feel like it happened to someone else. And if there’s anything that I’m sure about it’s that everything will be better one day soon.
Finally got my hands on it! “I love you
because
you
are dust.
I love
your ways;
I am
rather the
hugest
masochist
but
my
heart is
unregrettably
palliating
at the
echoes
of
your
mere
breathing.”
